Clip on hair extensions

Hi everyone

I have decided to have my hair half up half down for my big day but my hair is a wee bit short (its shoulder length) and was thinking of buying some hair extensions to add a bit of fullness and length. I think i want human hair rather than the synthetic so I can curl or straighten it.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to buy and what to look out for? I have been scouring ebay but there is too much choice and all claim to be the best! My budget is .. well I don't know, not too expensive, maybe £30 ish but obviously if i can get then cheaper that that it would be a bonus.

Ive no words of advice on where to buy...or indeed what type etc..but just a heads up to you (no pun intended)...that over the past few days another bride on the forum has had a bit of a hard time from another user when she dared to say that she had extentions....(she and they looked lovely BTW)....

I hope someone knowledgable comes along to help you find what you want..but just be aware that you may find the thread being used to vent anger at "human hair extentions"......

Actually had looked at katrinasols photos when she first put them up and said she had hair extensions, which kinda got me thinking as she looked fab.

As for the ethical issues, some poor person will be 50p richer thanks to me buying their hair, and as a added bonus won't have all that long hair annoying then when they are working in the sweat shop, so win win all round :)

Haha, that was me getting flamed for having extensions! I went for human hair ones, they cost me £45 but I can use them over and over again and straighten them etc. I went in a little shop that definitely wasn't a chain one, have a look at African/Caribbean hair shops as they normally have quite a good range of extensions. Ask them to match the colour to your hair - they normally take them out of the packet and hold them up to your hair in natural light to see how well the colour matches. Where are you located?

I'm in scotland, near glasgow. One of my friends recommended a place called Sallys. Going to go today and get some as having a trial next week. Are they easy to put in yourself Katrina, have been watching some youtube fotage and it looks as though it would be easy enough to do someone elses hair. What length are yours Katrina?

Hair Extensions from Sally are great - a lot of poor quality hair being sold cheaply other places!

Sally have regular Vat Free days or if you know a hairdresser/beautician you could ask them to come with you and use their trade for a discount.

Sallys, lush us uk, foxy locks, pauls hair world, all sell good quality hair extensions, but you get what you pay for, just need to make sure you get Remy 100% human hair, some companies advertiser as human hair but can contain a certain % of synthetic hair.
