Dolce Gusto refills

Bit of an odd question I know but I've done a google search and didn't come up with anything so I thought I'd tap the MSE pool of knowledge.
My mum accidentaly bought some of the Dolce Gusto refills without realising she needed the machine so she gave them to me (I'm still not sure why, but she does stuff like that) - I don't have the machine either but instead of thowing them away do you think they is a way of using them without the machine?
Any ideas welcome.

What type are they?
If they are normal coffee could you empty them out into a cafftierre?0 -
Find someone who does have the machine and make a gift of them?

Why not use them in any percolator, if you have one? They should work.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

I think it is a Mum thing! Mine was always giving me stuff that she had bought that she said she never used - so why buy it? It wasn't that it was a way of helping us out without embarrassing me, because it was stuff I'd never buy either and I usually disposed of it after a decent interval.joebloggs69 wrote:My mum accidentaly bought some of the Dolce Gusto refills without realising she needed the machine so she gave them to me (I'm still not sure why, but she does stuff like that)
I hope and pray that I never find myself doing this - although it wiill be a while off as my boys are still very firmly in the nest :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I'm not sure how it works as the box is really unhelpful, it's just got a couple of Ikea style pictures...I think they are specially shaped 'pods' that fit into the machine, some are white and some black so I assume it's milk and coffee. I do have a caffetierre (now that I think of it, that's another thing my Mum gave me! No-one uses it!), guess I'll just have to split them open and have a go!
I'll let you know!
