Need help with an account, MOORCROFT vs o2

Ok will just be basic and quick with this one.

I checked on my credit report from experian where i found an ammount of £400 i am due o2, i sent a letter to them regarding this and they stated that this money is now being dealt with by Moorecroft debt recovery.

I then had a letter forwarded onto me with the reference.

I then called Moorecroft and they have stated that none of their details are on the system or in their archive.( even though i have a letter with everything on it and full references)

i then called o2 again who stated the same again that it is now nothign to do with them and is being deal with by Moorcroft. To again be told the same thing again by Moorecroft.

This is affecting my credit rating as its sitting on level6 and i have no way of sorting it.

Any one got any ideas how i can sort this.

Thanks
Gav

    Hi
This won't help I guess but I had a debt of £76 with O2 and this was passed to Moorcroft. I paid them until it was £26 and then said what do you want to clear this and they said £22. I paid this by cheque in August but I didnt check when I was in a mess and cheque didnt clear and I found this out in November.
Called Moorcroft (absolute W@nekres) and they said as I had not paid them it was passed to O2. I called O2 to say I wanted to clear this and they said it was £76 owed - original amount. So I made 7 calls to Moorcroft and the same to O2 as I kept getting passed from one to the other.
Eventually I got an address for 'Credit & Risk' - Insights Team and they sorted it, confirmed I owed £22. Called O2 to pay this - was still told £76 was owed so told them I wanted to pay £22. Did this, wrote to the Risk/credit address and got a letter saying it was now clear and credit references had been advised. I checked last week and it shows 'Satisfied' now.

    Address is:
O2, Insights Team, Suite P, ABC, Millshaw Park Lane, Leeds, LS11 0NE.
No Telephone number but maybe they can help if you write to them.
Total Debt now £22,525.07 Start Debt £32,732.36
    £10207.29 OF DEBT PAID OFF:j 31.18%
  • o2's records won't update (for a month or two) until you ask moorcroft to update them. also ask moorcroft to send you a fax then you can send this to o2 CS and they can then update their records. bureaucracy pah!

are you contract to o2 is it paper billing or online billing only? or is it carphone warehouse etc or link or something else?

Have a look at the other threads about MOORCROFT on this forum.
You will fid that their ONLY interest is extracting money from you - they are NOT interested in the truth or in any way helping you.
