  • Hi folks, just got in from work and saw this thread - I hate to burst your ballon but it won't get past their delivery team. I saw this yesterday am( on another site) and along with a few others we thought we would give it a go.

Payment and orders go through fine but then you get a message saying they will phone you to arrange delivery. More than a few of us have had our quite polite phone calls to say its a glitch and they're sorry - a few who complained got a 10% off promo code or something but honestly I was so embarrassed by how nice the girl was I didn't bother.

I wonder if they will be that polite tomorrow when they get in the office to a load of orders from us lot !!.

WHY DIDN'T THEY CHANGE THE PRICE THEN? ... Not an expert but presume it doesn't take a company long to change a price etc?

Probably because a "good glitch" placed accidentally on purpose is a good way of increasing your mailing list, and there'll be plenty of less savvy folks who would think that a 10% voucher was brill :o Hey presto, money in the bank for them....:o:eek:

No one will use a 10% voucher.

They will have to spend days emailing & calling & getting abuse.

I am sure they wont be pleased apart from the marketing side might be smiling because a few more hundreds will never forget their company name & somewhere down the line one might buy a machine at some point.

It will hardly be cheap marketing though.

    Lol. Good luck.
Madly, it's still there..............creating even more work.

Nice to see a "glitch" anyway.............though this is too silly to get away with...............isn't it??

What you shouting for ?. If companies were that proefficient then we would'nt have a "quick grabbit" forum.

Look at the other glitches around - the glitch at Tesco for beer in Scotland yesterday. Tesco knew it was 2 cases of beer for £20 but there was an error with the price, staff couldn't do anything about the glitch so customer were walking out with 3 cases of beer for £11 pound. Started at lunchtime and people were still filling there boots at 10 oclock last night.

Would it be worth ordering this with something else? I have done mine with the cheapest keyboard I could find. In my little head I thought this may help.....thinking about it now, I'm not sure why that would help?
I have had a look in google and I would be stunned if they sent ANY out as they are £1149 on printerbase.co.uk

Good luck all, it's worth a try incase one sneeks through, though I 'd hate the thought that once you've unwrapped and used it or flogged it on ebay that they then try and get the rest of the money off you. Can they do that after the event???

    Great find OP, thanks

    I've just received this:
Thank you for your order on our Top4office.com website for the Samsung SCX -5835FN

We are very sorry but unfortunately there has been an error on our site which has meant that the incorrect price has been loaded. It is not possible to supply the machine at £1.00 when the correct price is £1072.00 plus vat.

We have refunded your card transaction and do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If there are any other products that you require please contact me directly and I will be happy to offer you a very special pricing structure on that item.

    Kind regards

Surely once they accept my payment that have to supply the item, rather than refund the money back?
