Hi everyone,
I'm looking for recommendations for a really good driving instructor who excels in teaching young people to drive (well
)
My daughter is almost 17 and cannot wait to get behind the wheel!
So, lessons will be the birthday present of choice. :rotfl:
As well as a skilled instructor, any ideas to lessen the financial pain? It's more than 21 years since I passed (my instructor was great, but now retired) and lessons were expensive then, I'm scared to ask how much they are now!!
Thanks in advance,
Linda x

Hi Linda
Depends whereabouts in Glasgow you are.. My teenage son just passed first time with lessons from Stewart whose website is "passwithstewart.co.uk" His prices were competitive when I shopped around. He always showed up on time and I will use him for DD when its her turn.
Good luck!0 -
Thanks for that Sam,
I have looked on website and he says that he covers Glasgow South.
We are in Glasgow East (Sandyhills, just round from the old test centre!)
I was hoping to get quite a few recommendations, but you are the only responder so far!! Still, plenty time yet :-))

Hi Linda
I used a female instructor called Michelle. I forget her surname now, but she was excellent. I was 23 when I took lessons & passed my test. I am also in the East End of Glasgow and Michelle would normally take me out driving in & around the Provenmill (sp?) area.
I hope she is still on the same number - 07872147372.
Cheers

Make sure you choose an instructor who is grade 6, the highest grade. Less than 5% of instructors are good enough to get this grade and instructors with lower grades hate being asked what their grade is!
Look for an instructor who has more than just the basic qualification, ideally one who has the ROSPA advanced gold level pass, or police advanced.

I am currently learning to drive, glasgow southside. I cannot recommend this lady highly enough, she is excellent! Thorough, professional and good at her job while being friendly and very down to earth.
