ASDA Home shopping. Substitutes that aren't!!!

Today I received my ASDA Home shopping order and at the top of the receipt it showed 1 substitution.

When I unpacked the shopping I found 4 more subs. The lower price was charged in each case, but, that is not the point.

ASDA have lied to me about the goods they have delivered. On the receipt is what I ordered not what I received. I have spoken to ASDA and they are going to get back to me.

Check your shopping if you use them.

To me this is a representation of goods as I have received goods that are not as described on the receipt.

I had one item substituted today !, the only thing that was the same was that they were both chicken :o, there was no camparisson between them at all, I told the driver to take them back, even he admitted it was a "bad mistake", now I have to wait a few days for the money to be refunded....I ordered last night and the transaction went through then this morning just after eight o'clock I get a call saying there has been a problem and I need to pay again ???, they said there had been a glitch !...

Here are some of my favourite online shopping substitutions:

A pack of nappies instead of 12 loo rolls; dairylea instead of lychees; a twix bar instead of a box of tampax (!!!!!!?!) and my particular favourite - a big bag of doritos and a pack of three sweetcorn instead of two bottles of wine. :D

They did that to me recently too! Had some subs marked on the delivery note, then as I was unpacking I found they had put on the note they had sent and charged for one thing (the thing I actually ordered) but had in fact sent a different product. The difference to OPs problem was that they had charged me for the more expensive product I ordered, not the cheaper one they sent.

I was furious. Phoned up and moaned about it, got refunded the charge for the item and told I get to keep it. Woo, free thing. Moaned some more about the fact they had effectively lied and got a free delivery too. I got a free delivery last month after complaining about something else. At this rate I will never pay for delivery!
    dairylea instead of lychees

Anyone else thinking the picker had no clue what lychees were, and thought it said "light cheese"? Even then the sub isn't great. However I think chocolate bar for Tampax has a kind of twisted logic to it.
