Hello dipsy
As we have a 'Christmas & Winter Festivities' board, I'll move your thread across.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

you could either cover it in cotton wool from a roll and add a scarf (crepe paper) round the brim with carrot nose and black paper circles as the coals for eyes and mouth to make a snow man hat.
or cover the hat in wrapping paper put tinsel round the brim and baubles on the top. if you had some battery operated fairy lights you could fix the battery bit and on/off switch in the hat and poke the lights through a hole then wind them all round the outside of the hat.
cover it in brown paper with small back spots on for currants then make orange and red flames from crepe paper with a couple of large holly leaves and some berries (scrunched up red paper or baubles) and its a christmas pudding hat.
i hope you have fun with what ever design you decide on and i hope your little one will have a lovely day tomorrowSPC~12 ot 124
