Transfer or not from Equitable Life????

I have an old personal pension plan with Equitable Life and I am wondering if I should transfer this to my existing Aviva plan. The plan is currently dormant and I have not contributed for many years, it has a transfer value of approximately £12,000. Can anyone advise me if this is a wise move or not? I am also unaware of any charges or adjustments despite reading through all of the documentation.

    Generally Equitable life is a poor performer but you need to do or have done for you an analysis of charges and performance of relevant funds for your risk profile
