I use a waterpic waterjet thing (can't remember the real name) and it is great at getting that clean feeling. I have dodgy teeth from childhood that are held together with fillings so struggle to get floss between them but the waterjet scooshes through and feels fab. I think it was around £30.

I've just bought the Waterpik 250 and tried it today for the first time. The water jet kind of pulsates, rather than being at a constant force.

Is that right? I was wondering if that's what yours was like, or if there is maybe a fault with mine? Thanks.

I have just been to check and don't know what model it is but it is blue and white. It makes a chugging noise but the water comes out at a constant force in quite a sharp jet. Is your battery fully charged as mine gets a bit sluggish when the power is too low.

Hmm well mine plugs in, so it can't be an issue with charge. When you say yours chugs away, does the water stream 'come and go' in strength?

I was kind of expecting a solid stream of water at a constant pressure, but it is definitely pulsating and didn't seem very effective. If it's not how it should be I want to take it back to swap, but I wasn't sure!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Waterpik-Cordless-Rechargeable-Dental-Systems/dp/B0002AHY6Q/ref=sr_1_19?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1307817849&sr=1-19 I am pretty sure this is the one I have and the water pressure is constant and solid.

Where did you get it from? I have checked and Argos don't sell the one I bought anymore.

I got mine from Boots, using my Advantage card points. It's this one:

I think it sounds as though the pressure on mine is not right from what you've said, I'll try taking it back to see if they will exchange it. Thanks ali-t.

That looks like the superdeluxe model compared to mine but when they work they are fab. I had a look at all the waterpik products boots have and there is a tongue cleaner attachment - I think I would drown if I used that!
