I keep getting the message: "the discount code "HAPPYLFW" requires a minimum spend of £1.00" - does anyone know how I can get around this?

I just get the message:
The following errors have occurred:

• the discount code "HAPPYLFW" requires a minimum spend of £1.00

Even when my basket contains over £80 worth.

I get the same message when I try and use it on sale items, but it did work on a full price item for me yesterday

This message comes up if you're only buying sale items or you're entering the code in the wrong box (should be the "Promo code or NUS" box).

I'm trying to buy full price items (not sale) and I'm entering the code in the correct box but to no avail, I'm still getting the same message! I've tried it on quite a few different brands to see if it makes any difference but no such luck.

Does anyone have a code for ASOS at the moment please? I'd like to buy some GHD's but at £100 a discount code would be great!

Hmmm,

So they finally got the item I want back in stock and the 20% off code has expired, so has my NUS extra card (it expired a month before I finished my course, great!).
