    Hello again everyone :)

I don't normally comment on non-related coupon stuff but thought I would - so after this I will gladly sit in the corner and await a wet fish slapping (although is there a dry fish slapping to be had? :rotfl:)

    Anyway, here goes...

The aim of the coupon thread is to help us all save money. So first off thank you IS for keeping the first pages updated, it has helped us all save money and I believe we all agree on this point.

Secondly, I do think the 'poll' was perhaps a bit premature because not everyone had enough time to discuss the options available or obtain alternatives.

Currently we have two threads going. My understanding is (please correct me if I'm wrong) that the main thread will be for posting coupons and for coupon related chat - so in essence nothing has changed. However, the drivel thread will be for just that, other related chit chat.

I have scanned both threads and it appears that those who are chatting on drivel also come over to main coupon thread to comment on coupon chat and post coupons.

So the result is, those who wanted a combined coupon and chat thread have it. Those who would normally be chatting all day are doing so in drivel thus relieving some of the pressure on IS.

I know all of what I have said is stating the obvious but the outcome is important. IS has time to post coupons on main thread, those who want to drivel can do so freely on other thread, those who want to post coupons and chat on main thread can do so.

The only thing I haven't touched on is Moneytight's offer of helping. MT I really hope you stick with the main thread and work with IS. Your input has been invaluable over the past while and your chat and comments have made me laugh, so please stick with us.

Sorry for such a long post folks. I've only come across this thread recently and found it to be a great source of help to me, not just saving money but the friendship and support that has always been freely given.

    Take care everyone.

    Hi and good morning everyone.:)

I was busy yesterday so could not pop here. Noticed too many posts arguing about the polls. Some supporting me, and some against me.

Anyway what I have come to conclusion is that, I would like to maintain the thread with the help of moneytight of course if she is still willing to.

She will make a list of all the coupons in one post, which I will update once in a day excluding weekends, which I will do on mondays.

And if she is not happy with doing us together, I am happy to do it on my own.

Some of my friends have already doing all the "chat" post on drivel, to help me. :A:A:AI really appreciate it, as it really saves the time in updating.:T:T:T

A big thanks for this drivel thread.

So to those who have time and don't mind going through both the threads, can keep track of both. The ones who don't wish to visit drivel can stick here. its totally upto them.

Hope everyone is happy with this thought and please bring back the cheer and happiness to this thread which is lost on here for a while now.

I really wish from my heart that this thread does not turn to DTD thread and finally leading to closure. I know no one would like it.

So please join in all the oldies, newbies, with all the smiles.:A

    Thats it for now.:)
i think this is a great idea, ,i did suggest days ago that both IS & MT could share updating the thread etc but i'm not sure whats been said but it appears MT is now not willing to help.i just think that the whole thing has been a bit of a shame & that people have taken the ump,in the long term there are a lot of things alot more important in life than bickering over a thread ,lets just keep things in perpective ,things will settle down again ,we'll go back to how things were afew months ago hopefully

    Hi KS
the drivel thread is real easy to find. Go to page 1 and there is a clicky right near the top. You can chat about anything at all over there, without cluttering the coupon thread.

To me, it should be quite simple. Coupon chat on coupon thread. Friendly chat on drivel thread.:):):):):)

    Chat as separate thread
afternoon everyone, it's been a while since I've posted on here although I try to check the thread whenever I get chance. Lots of changes going on however I'm sure this thread will remain the bestest and friendliest on MSE :)

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet Cravendale Facebook Page 50p off when you enter the competition.

    Hope everyone's well, PG xxx
