I really pity them - (makes disgusted face), and as for the outfit a day? What? I just bought my xmas outfit that's a long length purple velvet skirt and a matching scarf to go with a black jumper. Cost in all? 1.70 off the charity shop bargain rail! Wore it Saturday and got lots of nice comments - (sighs) I don't understand people's mentality

Yeah, I know what you mean - everyone in the office has rushed out to buy a new dress for the work do (and bag, and accessories ad infinitum). I can't wait to wear my dress again - had it made last year when I was travelling, beautiful silk dress cost me about £25. I'm always looking for excuses to wear it again, not buy new stuff.

My BF asked if I'd booked my appointment to get my hair done for the work do....my reply was "yeah, it's at 5.30 in front of my bedroom mirror"

I must say I just cant understand why anyone would have thier hair professionally done for a works do. Surley your colleagues know how rough you can look - I know mine have def seen me at my worst!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I'm avoiding my work do. its overpriced, turns into a spending compitition and the ratio of people i would normally spend a night out with to not is about 1 in 10.

I'm saving my pennies and going to the pub for a friends birthday instead!
