They used to give mortgages out if you could print a sheet off a shady website a few years ago and thankfully times have changed.It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should

Settled accounts stay on your credit report for six years from the settlement date. If one of yours has disappeared you can ask us to investigate this for you.
By the way, credit search footprints don't show whether the application was accepted or refused - just that you applied and your credit report was searched. Searches can be used in credit scoring but only usually come in to play if you collect a lot of them in a short space of time.
