I am after a designer watch for my Father any one know of the best places to get some great deals?
I was thinking about treating him and buying him a Tag or Omega etc. Max £1000 and good suggestions out there?
Anyone tried https://www.AAtime.com or does anyone else know of any other good websites.
Thanks

I recently used Goldsmiths and their cs was excellent. They sent the watch wrapped and recorded delivery.
They have TAG etc.

They also have Armani watches in their sale.

"max £1000" - I wish I was on your present list.Money SPENDING Expert0 -
my wife bought me an omega seamaster full size for a wedding present. She got it from goldsmiths and it was their last one. Also she managed to haggle it down to £1050 instead of £1350 as it was slightly cheaper in watches of switzerland.Trophies are like Buses, you wait 26 years.
Then 3 come along at once!!!!0 -
I bought a couple of watches off AATime last month and they were top notch, the customer service was excellent, and kept me up to date at every stage of the order.
I ordered them at 9pm on Sunday night, and received them at 10am on the Tuesday morning.Red & White army0 -

it seems to be £100 lower than most sites?0 -
Hi Awol,
I know you live in Nottingham but the cheapest deals might be the tag outlet here. http://www.gretnagateway.com/storedirectory/.
Worth ringing to see if they have got any models you are after and see if they can send them out.
Good luck.0 -
Bare in mind, any Tag watch bought online will not have the official warrenty. Most/all swiss watches sold on line are not covered by an official warrenty because online retailers aren't Authorised retailers. If you're spending a lot of money on a watch you should consider this.
I looked into this and concluded that the best and cheapest place to buy a quality watch is in the US. The prices are almost half that of the UK but, in theory, you have to pay import duty when you bring it back into the country. I just wore it through customs but, as I said this isn't legal. If you know anyone going to the States, I recommend you asking them to pick one up for you.
I know an Authorised dealer in New York who can offer you up to 33% of the US list price. Let me know if you want there details.0 -
Have a look at Christopher Ward (https://www.christopherward.co.uk) if you want a designer quality watch without the price tag. I've just had one delivered and am getting another. You can get 10% through quidco too.
I am not associated with Christopher Ward in any way but the watch is great and if you email with questions then Christopher himself replies.
Should you email then you could mention that Chris who just bought his 2nd watch (a C5AKK) from you recommended the company!!!0 -
There are designer watches e.g Gucci, CK etc. and quality watches e.g Tag, Omega, Rolex. It's rare for the two to be the same. If you are paying up to £1000 then you'll get a quality watch but I'd buy it from a real shop and fully endorse what icebergx says but wouldn't recommend the smuggling bit.
Beware of names you've never heard of and can't find in a high street jeweller. 'Carlo Mondo' nametypes was £299 now £59 adverts on the net or Sunday papers are generally worth far less.
I paid £1000 for my Tag from a bricks and mortar shop and (as you would hope) am very pleased with it.0
