I have had an ongoing battle with Kays, they said I owed them £1300, which was complete nonsense. I asked for balances, statements etc... but they wouldn't send me anything apart from letters saying I owed them money. They called everyday near abouts.
I then found this site and took the advice I was given and asked them for a signed copy of the credit agreement.
Over a month later (yesterday!) I got a letter saying they were taking a commercial decision not to pursue the matter!

I think a point of clarification is needed.
Just because they decide not to pursue the matter does NOT mean they will amend your credit file. You need to explicitly request this.
Check your file and see if it has been amended. If not, you need to work on this next.0
