    I
have been a small business owner for over 14 years. I have had a few employees. Even had to sack one once. You would perhaps not think that I would be naturally on the side of people who take their employers to employment tribunals. However, in this case I am, going by what the OP has explained about the situation.

An offer of a job was given and accepted by the OP and then that offer was withdrawn. It does not matter that there was no written contract. A verbal contract is just as legally binding as a written one except in certain cases mostly to do with land as far as I know (solicitor here could maybe correct me).

Medical record, absenteeism records etc is all irrelevant as far as I can see. The person who offered the job had access to all those. If they were relevant and did not look at them before offering the job, then that is just incompetence on their part.

Go with the advice of the employment lawyer and tell him/her everything. They will weed out what is relevant and what is not.

You do not know what the employers will have up their sleeve, in which to fight this case against them and they will give away nothing to you before going to court, so important that you give away nothing to them or their legal team. So perhaps we will not see you posting much more on a public forum like this!

But let us know how you get on after the tribunal.

    Best wishes.
