Abundant Wannabe!

Just a thought peeps :j a book I am reading (bought before the book sanction anyone asks) - "the amazing power of deliberate intent" talks about how we are vibrational beings and what we focus on grows blah blah blah.
its interesting and got me thinking most if not all of us want to be debt free right? since logging on I have money and found ways in my life to start hammering down the debt alot faster than I originally thought -
some of these things had just been sitting there ie. unwanted books on shelf - cash in accounts earning 3% whilst paying 18% interest elsewhere paying over the odds on utilities/ bank charges/ food chucked out week after week just to name a few things. So through this forum with help and from fellow posters I started looking at[Solutions] how I could make changes? save and create money. instead of just looking at the problems and it all feels abit lighter because I am creatively making changes. :T
It's funny my cupboards were full of stuff but nothing I wanted to eat - so I'd go out and buy more stuff. But now Im menu planning and figuring out creative ways to use what I have my cupboards are less bulgy and chaotic and I feel better to be using the resources I do have - its funny my cupboards are less packed but I have more meals to cook from the contents.
I know in the past I have made purchases because I felt I didnt have enough of something or that I felt something was missing emotionally ie not happy/bored so let eat/buy this thing/that.

I guess just having a bit of time and space to look at things from a different angle has helped me find different solutions.

I am also beginning to realise that sometimes less is more and keeping it simple can be much better - now I just need to apply it to my shoe collection  (although I have to say it has shrunk compared to a year ago!) it could do with shrinking some more :j

so just wanted to share that thought- what you focus on grows and think about what you want positively and you will attract it - will let you know if it works re. career :D
:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j

  • Is that the Abraham-Hicks book? I love their stuff & totally recommend all their books. They've really helped me to totally transform how I see money & wealth, & the results I get in every area of life! You can get a free introductory CD from their website too.
  • Yes it is - ohh I shall check that out!

  • I know what you mean when I had nothing and felt I couldn't cope nothing came to me (apart from stress). Now I have a plan, am focused on sorting things out and moving forward. Money, friends, social life and hopefully a career seem to be coming full speed towards me.
At this time of year I now give to make myself happy rather than to recieve something from someone else. This christmas I am much less bitter, much more focused and becoming a happier person.

I've been thinking... its funny the metaphors we have in life...
I have been digging my garden - I have drawn the conclusion my garden is a bit like debt!

you see when I first moved here I put spade in afew places under the grass and all I could feel was brick uh ohh - so I left it and ignored my garden (head in the sand) - now the thing is always wanted a garden to grow flowers and veg so I was abit gutted to find I couldnt event put the spade in the ground properly:rolleyes: . roll on five years I thought well I'lljust put a ton of topsoil(get a consildation loan) on it - called the garden centre(Money Saving Expert) and was advised this wouldnt be ideal - I need to take all the rubble out of the ground (Pay off the debt not remortgage work to a budget!) and that it was quite common for builders to bury rubble windows (everythings looks alright on the surface but a right mess underneath!) ... So I've started digging it and am shocked at the amount bricks, tiles, metal and window paynes that I am coming accross - cursing the builders  (how all the silly expenditure, interest and bank charges add up) yet at the same time it feels theraputic to be cleaning my back yard of all the junk in the soil (Facing up to my finances dealing with overspending - unnessecary bills paying off debts faster) digging and clearing the rubble is slow and hard work (will take time to be debt free) but Im glad to be dealing with it ... eventually I will be able to plant veg and flowers to grow (Eventually I will be able to grow savings/ abundance & freedom from debt) have a beautiful garden and reep the benefits from the fruits of my labour (work less hours and enjoy life more doing work I want to not driven by how much I earn) :j

I love this analogy. Positive thought promotes positive actions, not always easy but the best things in life tend to take a little more work. Thanks :T
