Sorry I am not sure what board this would be posted to so please mods move it if this is placed wrong.

Basically I took advantage of the computer shopper 3 issues for £1 and a free toolkit.

I never did get that tool kit but i did cancel my DD with Denis Publishing the day the 3rd copy came in, however today a 4th copy has come in,it does not look like i have been charged anything, as DD was cancelled a month ago, but don want to get an invoice as i dont want them? should i return to sender?Helpnot sure what to do

Had the same thing with PC Pro, but I only received the one extra. Personally I would wait and see if you received the next one, if you do then I would probably contact them. Did you cancel subscription in writing? I recall that was the stipulation for PC Pro, assume the others are the same.

Just leave it in the wrapper for now and email them telling them it is available to collect at a time convenient to you/will be returned upon receipt of a SAE/will be disposed of in 14 days of this email.

They will undoubtedly email you back telling you to keep it.

Don't Panik....If you have cancelled your DD then they will not come chasing for the extra copy. Read it and enjoy!

  • I had the same thing with the Radio Times 3 for £1 offer - canx'd after 2nd one, rec'd 3rd one, and have rec'd one every week since then - I've rec'd about 7 weeks extra copies so far! Hope they send me the double xmas one too!

I'm damned if i'm gonna ring em - if they can't admin a simple 3 copy offer then stuff em - a huge company like the beeb can afford it IMO

That is the best (and honest) thing to do but you are not obliged to do it. Their system probably does not work fast enough to cancel the delivery following cancellation.

"You may advise the sender in writing that you don't want the goods and say where they can be collected. However, a consumer is under no obligation to do so. Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, it is a criminal offence to demand payment for unsolicited goods from a consumer. Any goods delivered can be kept, for free, by the consumer." © Crown copyright 2004 from http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/goods-service/scams/fs_u01.shtml

Every time I have taken up amagazine subscription they have sent extra copies for free. Once this lasted for almost a year despite me contacting them several times. I wouldn't panic. You did everything correctly. I wouldn't expect a problem.

Looks like I'm not the only one having problems wiht Computer Shopper

Took advantage of the offer, paid and cancelled mr DDR, even got my toolkit but have lost out on the Quidco

Nothing has tracked through my account and there does not seem to be a way of tracing it

    Anyone else have this problem

    Thanks in advance
