This, Christmas/winter thread is my fave so I will post this here.....

I am fairly new to the forum, but I just want to say, I have never ever been involved with such a friendly, welcoming forum.

As soon as I log on to my pc each day this is now the first site I visit. With the risk of sounding very corny (but will say it anyway!) It's like a huge family. I was taken in by you all with open arms and it feels lovely!!

Thankyou so much to you all and a very Merry Christmas and Happy Money Saving 2007 to you and yours from me and mine.

    I love this site too, this board has got me more excited about christmas than I have been in many years - I even made some mince pies for work from a recipe on here!

    Def the best board ever, could not live without this site. I am going to take a hamper(inspired by this site) around to the guy who introduced me to this site. He has saved me a fortune and I have learnt so much. This site feels like a real community especially when we all band together. I say its time for the wonderful Martin to receive some sort of dong in the new year.

    What a lovely thread!!! I have to say though I feel the same! I joined in October and not only have I met some lovely people (have you read debt free by 40 diary?) but it has given me the courage to bite back at my bank and get my bank charges back!
