Loan or Card
I am looking to swap my cars and will need about £3000 to do this. I have two credit cards which I pay in full most months, and don't go anywhere near the limits. I was looking to get a loan for the purchase, but followed a few threads on here and wondered whether it would be as easy to use my cards to make the purchase.
If anything the APR is lower on my card 18.9%, than the bank is offering for a loan of 23.5%, and I have the option of paying off more than the set amount.
Is there anything I am missing here please?

Credit cards have a transaction fee which can add up to quite a few quid."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Sounds like a good option, although the loan rate of 23.5% is very high. Is this the best rate you've been able to find? Are you able to do balance transfers from your credit cards to a current account, if so this would save you the credit card fee by paying with a debit card or cheque.0

The 23.5% rate is with Natwest, considering I have been banking with them for nearly 30 years you would think they could do a bit better. There are better rates out there, the Post office looks quite promising, I will have to have a think on it, I don't like using credit cards unless I have to.I am not sure about the transferring the money to current account, one card is with Tesco and the other with Flybe. I was thinking of buying the car with one card and balance transferring to pick up the 0% on balance transfers.
Thanks for the replies.0
