  • I'm really cross. This morning I bought some milk at a garage not that near me and despite being well in date it was off. And this afternoon I nipped down to the shop because we were out of catfood - only intended to buy 3 tins because it is expensive there but it was 2 for £1 which was quite good so I bought 12. But working out my cash this evening I'm not sure they gave me the discounted price and despite a purse full of receipts I can't find that one to check. I'm so useless at this!

Online shop done through Quidco. £5 offer. So covers delivery charge and a bit extra. Will see what arrives tomorrow:eek:

Not doing badly this month. Have been feeling yucky so not been going out.

  • eek! went away weekend just gone with some girlfriends and ended up spending LOADS! its always the way "the best laid plans of mice and (wo)men aft gan aglay"! ended up spending £10 on shopping for the weekend and £17 on a take out when we got home (did kind of have an excuse tho, couldnt get into the kitchen because the ceiling had come down!). ALSO spent £6.80 on a top up shop in asda yesterday...all bargains though..honest!

I think I can safely say I might possibly be over budget this month as we've still got 2 weeks to go! Hope everyone else is fairing a little better!

hi...just put a chicken in the oven with lemon and some herbs from the garden inside...smells lovely....i am going to use a bit of the meat to make packup sarnies and a pie...after tonights roast dinner...very good from a 30% off free range chicken from lild...i love that shop i am thinking of giving up on asda and going to lidl only for a month to see how feasible it is

also have some stewing beef in the sc...had to cook it as wanted the room in the freezer but i am not sure it is the weather for stewing steak...that said it will probably be raining tomorrow

we went to costco last week and purchased loads of reduced meat...freezer groaning..i am working on a stockpile as well to try and get ahead of rising food prices..um ill see how i get on with that

    take care
