need advice re digital tv that will pick up rte

Hello, our old tv broke down a few weeks ago. We have been using a 19" portable. My main problem is trying to understand what tv we could get which would do for the next 10 years. It seems to be that you are best getting an LED 1080p and full HD. I spotted a 37" one in Sainsburys for under £400 As we live in northern ireland, I would like to still get RTE. (Often the american programmes are ahead of the british channels). We are not getting SKY and will just wait for the 2012 switchover.

So, what about RTE...will I get it with the LG 4500?

Any advice will be great.
