IPL or Eplilation at home?

I am interested in a more permanent method of hair removal rather than shaving every other day. I have trid waxing but not had much success. I was wondering if anyone had tried an epilator or IPL at home and if they would recommend?

epilators are great however IPL is best - use Groupon if you can otherwise v expensive0
