Hi,
Is my fiances 30th soon and I thought it would be nice to etch a glass for him, would also make a nice filler present for his moms 60th too.
Im getting that you buy glass etching cream and then I need some vinyl letters/numbers? Where would be the best place to buy those from? Can you get shapes aswell?
Has anyone here done any they are happy with that would be willing to do me a tutorial please??

i have used the fluid and the stencils
i have also engraved glass (using a £20 engraver and dentist drill bits)
the fluid i wasnt very impressed with, it gives a sort of "milky" appearance to the glass, and i ended up freehanding rather than using the stencils as you dont get very long to work with it
i bought this kit (sorry it happens to be an american site, i cant remeber where i got mine now:o)

you can buy the stencils on ebay, as i looked at the time0 -
here is the cream

and the stencils work out around £6 per sheet

you would then just need a brush and some masking tape0 -
Thanks for those links, and big thanks for replying.
Do you know where I could get Letters and numbers from please?May Groc challenge £51.70/£1300 -
I used to help with the guides and we used to print off our templates from the pc. Just find a font we liked and print the text and size you want and then just put this on the other side of the glass.
Good luck:j0
