Hi
I recently took out a loan with Northern Rock - I also took out the Silver inusrance - Death and Sickness cover.
Does anybody know if I can remove the Sickness cover and go down to the bronze cover?
Thanks

I think someone else asked a similar question on here. If I remember correctly they had to cancel one completely and take the lower one as a completely new insurance. This made it uneconomic to do so.
Why do you want to remove the sickness cover?

To be honest I think I can manage without the sickness cover - After taking the loan I have checked my SSP etc through work and it looks ok.
I know I should have checked this first though...0 -
do you only get ssp?0

I get 6 months full pay and then half pay after - I have sickness cover on my mortgage so at least that will be covered.0

I get exactly the same sick pay from work so I never take sick cover of any kind, although it doesn't stop salesmen trying to push it on me.
