Mortgage Advice for Self Employed
Comments
-
A lender would happily lend with 1 day of employed income which makes a mockery of the responsible lending bit. However as an employee you are deemed to be much more secure than a new start business. Logic in the argument somewhere but the mortgage market discourages new start business.
Self cert was a great product until it was widely abused. Dont expect any huge changes in the market any time soon.
Good luck with your quest for a mortgage. Be wary of any promises which seem too good to be true. Do not part with any money until there is something in place.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thankyou GSM, it seems i'm going to have to wait for a while or possibly get an evening job that could provide me with enough of an income to get a mortgage (maybe?)0
