Conservatory or extension?

Hi, Considering a conservatory to add some extra space at the back of the hosue instead of an extension.

What lifetime do current conservatories have?

What is the rough cost of say 5 metres x 4 metres?

Or would I be better going for the extra cost of a conservatory?

What is the difference between a conservatory annd a orangery?

I can't answer all your questions but here's my two pennurth:

An orangery is similar to an extension with a glass roof and more glass in the walls. It will cost roughly double the cost of a conservatory.

Don't know about a 5x4m conservatory but quotes we have been getting for a 4x4m conservatory with a glass roof are around the £13k mark.
