Can anyone help me.
I have been living in my area now for 4 or so years now and have been tortured by neighbours.
To cut a long story short there has been bad blood and I have known the neighbours to trespass on my property as I have built a house and have some land.
There has been a few incidents were people have been around my house vandalising and only this morning I got up and I have a few lights in the front garden and these were kicked all over my garden!!
My neighbours have sons who would pass my house at the weekend walking when drinking an I have suspected them for a while now. I am thinking of CCTV for my property but it's costly.
If I went to the police would they just note things down or would they advise my to keep and eye and stop wasting their time? I have a young family in my house and I am getting worried!!

The should be a community police officer for your area.Best bet would be to contact your local nick & ask for his/her number. If you're on Facebook,a lot of PSNI districts have their own page now so you can contact them directly thru that.0

Not sure what the police can do but we had/have a similar situation. The house next door was unoccupied and on the market for a number of months. As it's at the top of a cul-de-sac, anyone entering has to pass the house. Well the idiots at the bottom of the street thought the sale sign was fun to kick over every weekend. They walk home steaming, make lots of noise etc but unless you have more than just your suspicions then I don't know what the police can do.
As for CCTV, would this be any use: http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/10308311.html0 -
As spike said give the PSNI a call on 0845 600 8000 and ask for the Neighbourhood Policing Team for your area. Someone will arrange to come out to speak with you regarding your problem and give you crime prevention advice. You can also get their details from the PSNI website. They are very good in my area dealing with these sort of problems.0
