Wedding Flowers - Covent Garden

Has anyone ever been to Covent Garden Flower Market? Is it any cheaper for flowers?

I thinking of doing the boquets myself (with the help from friends). I have 4 adult bridesmaids and 4 little ones plus 10 men for button holes (groom/fathers/ushers).

    dHi,
I don't know about Covent Garden sorry but I do know that Columbia Road Market in Spitalfields (? - round there anyway) used to be great for cheap and unusual flowers a few years ago, probably is still. You need to get there early but they sell to the public, you don't need a trade card or anything. I recommend going there before hand and chatting to the sellers, so you can plan (roughly) what you will want to get beforehand.

It depends on how early you get there the earlier the better and how much you buy . don't forget they will add the VAT on to the price afterwards. have seen prices in euros suck on the side of containers there used this to see if they were making up over 100% (100% which is a fair mark up they've got to make a profit) but anything over I think they are pushing it one supplier there wanted £20 for a dozen roses I went else where! Also prices will be higher for flowers not in season or around peak times ie valentines day or mothers day! They do stock floristry things which are resonably prices and fake flowers also have a look out for vases and other decor you might get a good bargin. best of luck
