Double sided tape and the Boots buy one get one half price offer on Scholl arch supports. They may not look particularly brilliant but at least you can wear flat sandals without aggravating the pain.

The only sandals I have discovered with arch supports were ecco from TKmax.

If it is any help a year of arch supports should cure the problem then just stick to arch supports in winter shoes with occasional use in summer sandals to prevent a relapse.

Sorry if this is the wrong area to ask this but does anyone know of any shoe brands other than Birkenstock that have unbuilt arch supports?

I have plantar fasciitis and fallen foot arches and would love to find a summer shoe that offers support for the two arches in the foot. Not just side area that Birkenstock offers.
Arch support inserts just don't work/stay in sandals :-(

    Can anyone help? x

    Thanks for everyone's replies.
Crocs don't have any arch support and i developed the problems whistle wearing them.

that's just goes to show that what works for one person might not work for another, both pairs of my crocs have pretty good built up arches so perhaps they vary by style

my doctor recommended nike air trainers which i already had, just didnt wear on a day to day basis

I've suffered with plantar fasciitis for years and have bought so many different pairs of shoes it's ridiculous. The best ones I've found are skechers shape ups and tone ups. They cost a lot but are worth it.

I saw Skechers at Costco this weekend for £52-odd (this was Lakeside Thurrock). Maybe other branches have the same deal?

Have you tried http://www.padders.co.uk they have a great selection of shoes and a wide range of fittings. They have a 30% sale on at the moment on selected ranges.

    Hope you find something suitable.
