My O/H is interested in one - mainly to get rid of the vast quantities of CD's etc that have been accumulated over the years
I have seen them advertised in mags and looked at the site they seem to be only available direct.
So we wondered if anyone had one and their opinion of them good or bad?

There may be others on that site.0 -
iTunes> rip CDs at top quality> transfer to an iPod> insert iPod into a top quality dock.
More flexibility, smoother system, upgradeable, easily backed-up, portable, probably cheaper too.
I'm no apple maniac (wouldn't have an iphone for £20 a month) but iTunes does the job well.
Other MP3 systems (Creative, Sony, Archos) may well do the same job too, but I've never tried them.0 -
Bought my 160Gb JB7 for £359 in October 2008. Ripped my 500 CD collection to it over a couple of days. It rips CDs very fast indeed.
I absolutely love it. Beautifully made. So compact. So many features. It has changed the way I listen to music. I've rediscovered CDs that I had forgotten I owned.
My only regret is dithering for so long over whether I should spend so much money on such a small product... it doesn't appear to offer much 'bang for the buck'. I should have bought it months before I actually did. I cannot recommend it highly enough.0 -
One of my brothers was enquiring about the JB7 not so long ago, he decided against getting for reasons I can’t remember. There’s a fairly positive review on What Hi-Fi that might be worth having a look at, might be worth checking the user reviews as well.

If the Brennan interests you, an alternative is the Cocktail X10. Available via Amazon and a couple of other suppliers, including Audio Sanctum. It is available with up to 2TB hard drive, or you can buy without and buy your own HD. The price goes from under £300 with no hard drive to over £400 for a 2TB version. It also links to your computer and mobile phone and will play music from there too plus has internet radio.
It has all the Brennan has and more, check it out.0
