Hi, I asked the same question, you could get one off ebay. I went to lakeland ltd yesterday and brought an OS one. Seems quite good as tells you the stages on it ( softball,soft crack, hard crack). Mine is brass I think and came from robert Dyas years ago.
Some of the markings are hard to read now though.
One thing I really would like different about it,is a hook of some kind so that I can hang it over the side of the preserving pan.Its a pain having to hold it while stirring but it slips down into the jam if I dont.That might be something to look out for when buying a new one.0
