Help re Wentworth Loan...
So in a moment of desperation, I applied for a loan with Wentworth, and they rang and told me it was approved, but had to pay £70 for the pleasure.
They agreed to take the money out of my account at the end of the month. I quickly changed my mind about this, and have desperately been trying to get hold of them, to no avail. They do not answer the phone, and I am not quite sure what to do next.
How do I stop them from taking any money out of my account?
Help please...

You can't. It's too late for that, the money has already gone.
Go into the Terms and Conditions and strictly follow the precise instructions they give you. Nowhere will it say, keep ringing us over and over again to speak to a supervisor, nor will it say, keep emailing us with irate demands and insults.
Do what it tells you to do and get ready for a 6 Month battle to get your money back.
and don't give out your bank details over the phone again.0 -

They are not a lender, They do not Lend money, They do not write credit agreements, They do not give out the loans.
They are a broker, Meaning they apparently search for loans for you (something you could do anyways), They word there website etc to make it sound like the lend you the money.
The money is gone. Are you also aware the online 'Application Form' you fill in with your details isn't safely encrypted, Its done over a HTTP not a HTTPS domain.
A lender will not ask you to provide any fees upfront, Where as a broker will.
Best thing to do is go through your T&C's, Get a letter sent to them (there will be templates on these forums from previous posts).' You only live once ! Don't live to regret the past, But to enjoy the future '

Hello All well ive got some goods news, I sent a letter registered post last monday asking for my refund and to my amazement, I got a text on the wednesday to say my refund had been processed, The money was back in my account on Friday, the whole £69 !!
I honestly thought it was money lost after reading all the posts regarding this company but Im so glad they proved me wrong!!
Well lesson learnt, never ever try to pay for a loan and never ever give your bank card details over.
Well Im pleased that I got my money back as I couldnt afford to lose it :j:j
FYI - if you want a refund dont waste your time trying to call them (premium number, long wait etc, just send recorded letters as it worked for me !)Dmp Mutual Support thread member No 820
