I was fortunate, it wasn't an insurmountable amount to pay off, but quidco certainly helped! And my poor family kept looking around for things only to be told I'd ebayed it!
We would never have got there this fast if we hadn't got compensation for mis selling our endowment which all went to pay off the debts.
We were very fortunate in that we kept the same basic standard of living, we could always pay all the bills, and still shopped in Tesco, we have just done without the luxuries, the bare minimum of new clothes, cheap days out, and a lot of friends have had presents without realising they were free gifts from somewhere!

Well, whichever way you have done it, endowment compensation et al, the main thing is that you HAVE DONE IT!
