Short Term Mortgages/Bridging Loans

My partner and I are selling both our houses and buy a new one together. We have sold one house but not the other and would like some advice on a short term mortgage until the second house is sold. This will allow us the buy the new property that we have found.
Any advice on sutiable building societies or banks that cater for this situation would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Bridging finance is very expensive around 1% per month, plus set up fees.
So you need to think very carefully before going down this route.0
