Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there talk of making all speed camera detectors illegal? I think the ones based on GPS technology (e.g. Road Angel) were meant to be okay though...
Really not sure on this, perhaps someone can advise?
Wouldn't mind a Road Angel myself, but not at those prices!Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.0 -
It would be worth having a look here:

I have always found this site to be very helpfulLooking to raise some money0 -
Don't speed then, speeding is NOT only dangerous but it is disrespectful to people who live on those areas where speed is a problem. Noise is associated with speed and if you speed in areas of residential streets particularly, it causes increase noise.
It gets my back up when people moan like hell cause they get caught, I say tough then don't speed, its you CHOICE!
I have seen a child been knocked down by a moron speed freak, and it aint funny. Imagine a child thrown like a rag doll. I am telling you this not because you most likely care, but the implications of speeding are enormous for the victim so remember that when speeding. If are caught using one of thse devices you are are likely to be jailed for perverting the course of justice - a much worse offence than getting a speeding fine!0

If you are caught with a Laser Jammer which actually interfers with speed detecting devices you will be locked up. However not many of the speed detectors (ie Road Angel, Snooper, Origin, etc) have this feature, and, they are prefectly legal to use.
Its the "Laser Jammers" that are illegal0 -

Yes and no. They were on about making an Laser detecting device illegal. So for example the new Road Angel would be illegal as the laser detector is built into the unit. Where as some of the other devices (can't remember which now) have a seperate laser detection module. In whihc case you can remove the module and jobs a good un. - Now when and if this law comes into place is another matter.
I've got a road angel 2. Not a bad bit of kit, but it wasn't cheap!0
