One Man Towing A Frame Hire
I have a one man 2.5 ton towing A frame sat around that I am looking to hire out.
Is this going to be worth doing?
If so want price should I make this facility?
A few people on ebay have it at £25 for two days but needing a deposit of £100-£150.
I was hoping to offer this facility to save people a bit of cash if they needed to move a car or recover one that has broken down.
All you need is a car with a towbar.
I will train people on how to safely use the A frame.
Do you think this is worth me doing this?

Agreed, if you don't use it, sell it.

Personally the liability insuramce and theworry of somebody stealing it would make me think that renting it out would be a bad idea.
However if your only getting £80 then i would suggest an alternative, how about advertising it on gumtree etc as a service. ie rather than hire it they will hire you who will turn up and move their broken down car etc that they would have hired it from you to move. No need to worry about them stealing it, driving it unsafely etc etc.
Just an alternative ideaHere to help and be helped!0 -
I am looking to buy a truck to do this. The frame cost me £130 new and I only used it once. If I sell it to my friend at £80 I can always use it if I need to.0

Fair enough, well all i would say is the cost of the van would be quite high and would have to earn a fair amount for you to get a decent return on the investment, just a thought, tho the van would have more applications. Here to help and be helped!0
