Sad news from a competition win

Recently I was one of the few lucky ones to receive a phone call from that there ITV 
I'd won an ambrosia goody bag and a cow adoption.
Well, I received my cow adoption update today and Gromit (my cow!) Has died!!!
I received a final letter from him and a photograph, hubby and I really didn't know whether to laugh or cry when we opened the letter, such sad news but kind of bizarre too.

Aw, bless. I hadn't really thought about that happening with 'sponsored' animals although I know of course it's inevitable. Commiserations for you and fond thoughts for poor Gromit the cow.
