It was a huge shock when I heard the news.

Just heard the news. I'm so shocked. She was posting on the Thrifty threads from her hospital bed in January, and keeping us updated how she was getting on. I'm so sorry to hear this news.

Could the OP please send a link to this thread for her family to read. I don't know whether this will open up healing wounds, but it might be a comfort to see how much she was liked and respected by strangers, just as much as her own family.

This is heart breaking news. She used to post regularly on my thread at Christmas and was so full of joy and enthusiasm for everything she made and also very supportive and thrilled with what others made/said too. I remember we PM'ed quite a bit, nattering over our latest projects. Perhaps if we have another similar thread this Christmas it should be dedicated to her.

My DD has a little basket of bath stuff made by her. She will never use it now and she keeps it on the shelf by her bed.
