Norton upgrade

If you have Norton 2006 and later and your subscription is still valid, you can UPGRADE for no additional charge to the latest version. Just visit http://www.norton.com/nuc.
Here are the direct download links for Norton AntiVirus and Norton Interent Security users. Note this is only for the 2011 version. If you want the 2010 version just change the 11 at the end to a 10. Same goes for the 2012 version (not released yet).
* Norton Internet Security 2011: http://www.norton.com/nis11
* Norton AntiVirus 2011: http://www.norton.com/nav11
To upgrade perform the following steps:
1. Download the installer as well as the Norton removal tool (http://www.norton.com/nrt)
2. If you have a Norton product that have Norton identity safe and you use it, back it up. See the help guide at http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=kb20100422131249EN_EndUserProfile_en_us&ln=en_US if you need help.
3. Disconnect yourself from the web
4. Uninstall the Norton software using the add/remove.
5. Reboot.
6. After rebooting, run the Norton removal tool (NOTE THIS WILL REMOVE ALL NORTON/SYMANTEC SOFTWARE including Norton Ghost, etc). Reboot the PC manually if it doesn't prompt you to.
7. After rebooting rerun the tool to make sure all traces are gone. Check in add/remove to make sure that the LiveUpdate and LiveUpdate notification software. This is an issue for older version where the uninstallation is not as clean as the latest.
8. Install the latest Norton software from the installer you downloaded earlier.
9. Run LiveUpdate repeatedly untill it reports that no update is found.
10. If you are using Norton Identity safe now would be the time to set it up and restore it (instructions to restore it is located at http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=kb20100422131249EN_EndUserProfile_en_us&ln=en_US.
11. Enjoy!
