where do you buy your craft supplies?

I'm finding Hobby Craft has EVERYTHING but it's so expensive. I've been using my local craft shop which is cheaper but doesn't have as much stock. Do you recommend any other shops or online sellers? I keep looking at websites but by the time I've paid postage it's the same price as Hobby Craft.

Ive used Grafton Crafts in the past and they have been really good. Im not sure whether they are cheaper for all crafts but I find them quite reasonable. Ebay is always good too!

i mainly buy everything from ebay. i buy alot from ebay abroad also.

locally tho i find certain items are sometimes not cheaper per item, but when weighing up the price of postage they do work out cheaper. like a real of thread locally might be £1.49, but ebay may be £1.00 and 99p postage.

i hunt about, felt i've found is a bit dearer on ebay but i can't always gets the colours locally that i want.

I do a lot of sewing and have mostly brought fabric from Ebay but I have discovered 2 fabric shops in my area :D
One fabric shop also sells card making stuff and wool and the prices are good :D

I do shop around before buying off ebay and see if I can find internet shops that including postage could be cheaper.

These days you have to hunt around to find good prices and bargains :o

I also go in a lot of CS's, sometime they have baskets with bits in like zips, cottons and buttons or something on the £1 rail might be worth getting for the button and fabric :D

Go to a site called www.docrafts.co.uk - they have a location checker - put your postcode in and it will tell you your local craft shops. I get the Range in Wigan and a lovely shop in the Lowry Centre in Machester - both are fab and much cheaper than Hobbycraft
    Hope this helps

I also used to use a site called stamps.co.uk - the girl has closed it but she sells on ebay under the name auntycrafty - she usually has good stuff for sale.
