Hi All,
Well, what a year I have had and a lot of you will feel the same. I don't like being in debt - non of us do but as many of you are aware from my thread on here, that my debt was not my fault and even though it is gone now, this is the time when we are feeling it the most.
Right now I barely have enough cash to get me through the week - we don't get paid until 15th. Still, the debt is almost gone - there is only the mortgage now and that was there before - it is just that little bit bigger now. My kids are still getting spoilt rotten this Christmas - they deserve it being babies for such a short time!
So, even though I am a little short, I can still express my heartfelt Christmas Wishes to my fellow DFWs and wish each and every one of us a much more prosperous 2007!
Cheers to you all!
Kat.

I love christmas, today bought home to me how special life is,DH and I spent the day, just the 2 of us,in the city, nothing unusual you may think, but this was the 1st time in a year it has been just the 2 of us,we sat watching the world go by in Starbucks, people looking harassed with armfulls of gifts,a man chasing his market stall showing the crack of his bottom in the wind, lifes simple pleasures. We strolled hand in hand looking in the shop windows,we spent £30 on all the gifts,we spoke about our past terrible year and both agreed that we don't want the worry of debt to hang over us at this time of year and that what we want most is to be together, happy.
We are not buying presents for eachother and the kids won't get much, but boy this christmas WILL be special.
I wish everyone a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year!
Thanks everyone for the support you have given.

Living in hope, your post made me smile (especially re the market trader).
Hi Guys, well whether I like it or not Christmas is officially approaching in our house! Bullied into getting the trimings down last night (I wanted to wait until I was more cheerfull) I got up this morning to find that my youngest little darling had been spreading the joy (ornaments) around the house allready!
I was very touched by the programme 'what the world needs now' this morning. While I don't usually watch this kind of programme it made me realise how well off me and my boys are realy are.
Spent the rest of the day dancing around the living room to the old faithfull christmas hits tape while finishing the triming up.
Merry Christmas everyone, and many wishes for a fantastic new year.
