what can I do?

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help me. I'm moving back to the Uk at the beginning of June after living in Spain for 8 years. I'm looking for ways to earn some money as I am job hunting at the moment but havent found anything as of yet. (I want a job as a support worker as I'd love to help children and young adults with disabilities, autism and learning difficulties)

I've worked as a travel agent, foreign language English teacher, translator (spanish) and a secretary. I have lots of experience in teaching, customer service and especially admin related work.

I speak English and Spanish fluently, catalan at an intermediate level and I understand French aswell as a little bit of portuguese and Italian.

Any ideas? I'm good with computers and have lots of enthusiasm.
Thanks for your help!:)

You can become a freelancer using those skills and experience you have. A freelancer is simply a self-employed person with a particular skill such as writing, teaching, IT, or public relations. You may want to visit Startups UK and CreativeBoom UK and or BusinessLink UK for more ideas really.

Think you would be great at being a teaching assistant / learning support assistant in schools working with pupils with special needs. With all your experience, I am sure you would get some work. Then you could think about training to be a teacher, if you haven't already?

I always see adverts on Gumtree for customer service people who are fluent in another language.

Tutoring people in other languages seems to get a bit of money as well.
