Anyone help with 'adult' student loan/grant?

Hi all, newbie poster.

I currently am struggling to find work etc.... I have resigned myself and finally had to sign on two weeks ago and my next meeting is tomorrow. Trust me, I did not want to do this but after 102 job applications I can't get an interview let alone a job.

Anyway to the point!
I have found a course that i'd like to do, I am going to retrain etc... as obviously my current 'status' is not great. Problem is I need a hand with fee's, BUT under no circumstances please anyone think i'm after a hand out, I have no problem re paying the loan/grant or whatever on completion of the course as the company guarantee you work/introductions on completion or the money back.

Cut a long story short, i'm 34yrs old and I need help with the fee's basically, can anyone help??? oh the course can be completed ful time in 12 weeks.

Thanks guys ;)

Who is running the course, and is it actually accredited? If so, you may be able to get a Career Development Loan, but be aware that these are commercial loans not a student loan.

Are you aware that most Compliance Officers are recruited from experienced DWP/ LA staff? I wouldn't take on such a course without knowing that you have a job at the end of it.

The centre is going to call me tomorrow and I have an awful lot of questions but yes its acredited, only one in UK.
They claim that if you have no job the course is refunded in full, got it all in writing, no hidden extras etc...
I need to do something and this really takes my fancy.
You can work straight into government/solicitors/police etc... don't get me wrong, I know its not a degree but I cannot go to Uni so its my next best thing.

Now THAT my friend, has got SCAM written all over it.

The training companies who make those sort of promises will offer you a job alright, £11k in the centre of London.

NOBODY can guarantee employment on completion without it being such a poor offer, nobody in their right mind would accept it. This is why you will not get a refund either.

Look for the posts about RED DRIVING SCHOOL who promise £30k+ on completion - now find someone who has passed the course!

the only training you will receive which has any hope of gainful employment at the end is an Apprenticeship.
Don't get led up the garden path.

Sorry apples I can't send another PM. But thanks for looking, now you know my predicament. Lol! There's another workshop on 4th June so I'm going to that. They run them twice a month.
