I just ordered a black refurbished 2 gig ipod nano from the Apple store online for £65 including free delivery (original price for a new one from Apple is £129 and the cheapest I could find it anywhere else was £99).

If you go to apple.com and then click on the 'store' tab and scroll down, there is a link on the RHS of the screen (with a big red 'SAVE' logo) to their refurbished and offers department. The stock is continually changing; seems to be 'as new' customer returns that have been thoroughly checked but might have a tiny cosmetic mark etc. They all have an Apple one year limited warrenty.

The refurbished store also do apple macs etc and loads of other stuff but you do have to look daily until the thing you want comes up for a good price. The weird thing at the moment is that they are advertising the ipod nano 1 gig for £73 but the 2 gig for £65! The price reductions seem to vary between 14%- 42% with no logic I can see!

    HTH someone!

Just be aware that the Apple Refurb ones will 99% be the 1st Generation Nanos. Having said that, there are peeps out there who say that they prefer the 1st gen ones!

Hi Trixxie - what's the difference between the first generation ones and the newer models then? I've never used an Ipod before so don't really know what i need to be looking out for! Thanks.

Wow! The refurbished ipod I ordered from the Apple store (see my previous post) arrived yesterday (3 days after ordering) and looks brand new! It includes earphones, CD etc all boxed up and not a mark on it! I was expecting some cosmetic damage etc but looks like I've been lucky :j It's for my dd's Christmas present so now I just hope she likes it!

    Hi nenen,

The one I ordered arrived quickly too and looks brand new also :D

If it's just a case of it looking a little bit different then C_Ronaldo I'm not at all bothered about that!
