Re-claiming PPI and it's effect on my credit status?

Hi

First, couldn't seem to find a way to post this on the reclaiming forum as it says 'thread closed'! Perhaps i was looking in the wrong place. sorry.

Question 1;

If i was to try and reclaim my ppi from a loan that was closed 2 years ago (closed by taking another consolidating loan (no insurance)), how would this effect my credit rating or current loans/cards etc? or taking out a loan/mortgage/credit card in the future??

Question 2;

I'm sure I saw letter templates on this site a while back, but can't seem to find them now! Have they been removed?

The closed loan (for which i would be re-claiming) was with RBS. My current loans/cards/accounts are with Lloyds.

Any advice and info would be appreciated.

Many thanks
