Hi everyone
Im hoping someone can help!!
So, a bit of a dillema - its my friends wedding in July and ive seen a gorgeous dress that i want to buy but its white and i didnt think it was appropriate to wear white to the wedding......after showing her the dress, she has said shed prefer guests not to wear white which i completely understand, but the dress i want doesnt come in any other colour!!
Ive searched everywhere and havent seen ANYTHING! its a nightmare for me to find anything that fits properly (am sure many will understand that!!)
My thought was to see if maybe someone could make the dress in a different colour for me, but i have no idea where to start for that, or even how much it'd cost!! This is the dress i want http://www.coast-stores.com/LILLY-ANNA-DRESS//-/fcp-product/2224741801
Any help would be really appreciated as my OH is being driven crazy by me not finding anything to wear!
TIA

What a beautiful dress. I guess it won't be too difficult to find a dressmaker to make the dress, it'll be much more difficult to source the material.
It's a shame that you mentioned the dress to the bride as, although it's white, it's perfect for a guest to wear to a wedding - I don't see her problem.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Thanks Ms Choc!
I didnt think itd be a problem either but i wanted to check as i know its tradition that only the bride wears white. I dont think itd bother me, certainly not for the dress i like, but i think if it was a flowy style white dress i would be a bit peeved so i just wanted to check with her. Nothing worse than a bride being upset on her day!!
Any idea how to source a dressmaker?£2 Savers Club #156!

Hi, not sure about the material, but could you possibly get it professionally dyed? Some people create their own storms....then get upset when it rains!0

Hi, not sure about the material, but could you possibly get it professionally dyed?
It says dry clean only on the details.
There is a dress that is similarish from Dorothy Perkins with cutwork but it doesn't have sleeves like the Coast dress, it's about £40, possibly that could be dyed or it may come in different colours. You might get it on Ebay if it's not in the shops.0 -
Thanks girls

Im so bloody difficult when it comes to buying clothes!!!
Ive just emailed Linda so fingers crossed

hmm very pretty dress. Is it the style or flower overlay you like? Do you want a slim fit dress with stunning details or the overlay look?

Maybe a wedding dress shop could dye it. They dye shoes and bridesmaid dresses etc which are often dry clean.0
