Hi
I've just got off the phone to the collections team at wonga to try and set up a payment plan for my loan, they told me i cant do this until my loan due date, but then told me i could ring at one minute past midnight on the due date so i could speak to them before they attempted to take the money from my account.
Can anyone confirm that they are open 24hrs or are they spinning me a line to try and get the payment taken before i can do anything
Thanks

cancelling your card might not even be enough in this case. there's a great thread on here about payday loans, i'll see if i can find it in a mo (thought i had it bookmarked!)
usually when you make an agreement with a payday loan company, you've also agreed to a 'recurring payment authority' (or something similarly named). basically, they can still try to take money out of your account even your card is cancelled. your best best is to close the account and open a new one.0 -

It's a trick, they WILL take that money and they will be back for more"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

The problem with these sorts of companies is that they will always try and get the money first. If the bank allows it and leaves you pennies to live on for a week that will not matter to the payday firms, they have their money back. They will not give it back and agree for you to pay it bit by bit I'm afraid.0
