Welcome to the board.
I personally don't know of any charity who would help you with the bankruptcy fee, but I'm sure others will be along soon to advise.
Why don't you post an SOA (incomings and outgoings) and we will see the extent of your financial situation.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of unwelcome news, but this debt isn't simply going to go away, you need to take advice from the CCCS (a debt charity) who will advise you on the best plan of repaying this debt.

Could you start selling things on Ebay in order to repay some of the debts or to save towards your bankruptcy fee? If you have bulky items to sell you could try freeads.0

How much debt are we talking about roughly?
May I ask, what did you spend the money on, day to day living? (been there myself) or expensive gadgets (I done that as well), or gambling. I'm not judging you, but simply trying to find out if you have anything to sell in order to repay your debts or get the bankruptcy fee.0 -
Hi sonic2009, I'm sorry to hear about your position. My personal recommendation would be to contact National Debt Line on freephone 0808 808 4000. I think they offer the best impartial advice.
Depending on your situation and the level of debt there are several routes to becoming debt free. If your debts are below £15K then you might qualify for a Debt Relief Order (http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=37_debt_relief_orders). But I am no expert and they will offer great advice.
Good luck, you've made the hardest move and recognised you need help.Mortgage Free Date

Hi Sonic - I agree that you should get free, impartial advice. Bankrupty may or may not be the best for you situation. As has already been said a mini-bankruptcy (DRO) may be better (and it costs you less
) however these can affect your future career prospects so it is important you go through all the options available to you.
Try your local CAB, National Debtline or CCCS but do not pay for advice and I'd avoid any adverts that promise to 'write off your debts' etc that advertise in newspapers or on tv as there is the good, the bad and the ugly and it is near impossible to tell the difference (I also wouldn't pay for advice when you can get it free
).
IF bankruptcy is your best best then I'm sure that you will be most welcome on the bankruptcy board on here - they also have a list of charities that may be able to assist you with the fees.
Best of Luck
