Fake Tan Stained Nails

Hi All,

Can anyone give me any tips to get rid of fake tan that's stained my nails?

I do wear a mitt to apply my fake tan, a cream based one, not a spray, but I do have to do my hands and if I do scratch anywhere after I've applied my tan then it gets into my nails (my own, not false nails) and they end up all yellow and stained. It doesn't look very nice, and because I only wear a base coat and gloss on my nails and not colour, it does show through.

Would be grateful for any tips to get rid of it.

Soak nails in lemon juice or a light peroxide solution about 3% the same as you use for a mouthwash, There are some fake tan removers in Boots etc, St Tropez do one or failing all that whitening toothpaste left on will fade it:)

I stick mine in neat bleach,
I appreciate this isn't for everyone though!

lol I do this too but didnt want to scare people:rotfl:realised it works really well after doing it by accident when doing the housework;)

Me too - wondered if anyone else would say that!
